Village Wallawah | Behind The Business

Village Wallawah’s Christmas Pop-up takes place on December 11th, 2021 at Tantra Terraces in Sangre Grande.

The event’s executive, a team of four women (Kandice Katwaroo, Chanel Glasgow, Mariessa-Ann Newallo, Karissa Narine) saw the need for the event in the community of Sangre Grande. They were right, vendors and patrons came from all over the country to experience what the east had to offer at the first installment.

Behind the Business - Village Wallawah

The cultural market was launched on March 30th, 2021 where they hosted a series of performances alongside their vendors. The first of its kind in the town of Sangre Grande, the cultural event managed to attract well over 500 patrons. Patrons raved on social media about the success of the first time event and vendors were thoroughly pleased with sales, some of whom, even sold out.

The cultural market is opening their doors for the second time with a Christmas Pop-up event. Given the current economic climate and with very little imports on the island, the event hopes to be a hit for Christmas shoppers to find unique and local items as gifts. With the ambience of the east, light live entertainment and a range of vendors from food, artisans, clothing and much more. Be sure to check out Village Wallawah on December 11th, 2021 at Tantra Terraces. Maybe even take a drive down to Manzanilla while you’re at it!
