Ministry of Tourism Launches LIME 365 & Mobile App

On February 7th, 2017, the Ministry of Tourism under the auspices of the Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe, launched its LIME 365 campaign at the NAPA Hotel in Port of Spain.

The purpose of the LIME 365 campaign is to showcase the event calendar of Trinidad and Tobago with special emphasis on our heritage, our rich and diverse culture and our unique ability to live in unity regardless of race, religion or economic background.

Notable as well, was the simultaneous launch of the GO Trinbago App, the first ever tourism mobile application which forms part of the ministry’s digital marketing strategy. The app is free, bilingual and interactive, described as “the ultimate guide to discovering Trinidad and Tobago.” It represents a colossal step for the Ministry of Tourism in closing the gap between tourism and technology and brings us into the 21st century. Even more impressive, the GO Trinbago app is 100% offline, making it possible for persons without the Internet or WiFi connectivity to find hotel accommodations, tours and plan your personal itinerary.

The app is currently available online on the Google Play Store for Android. iPhone users will be able to access it by February 10, 2017.

La Quan Pearie, the 2016 Junior Minister of Tourism for Trinidad and Tobago who also spoke at the launch summed it up like this, “With the launch of “Lime 365” and the app “Go Trinbago” citizens and tourists will no longer complain of not knowing where to visit and not knowing how to find these places of interest”.
